Cutting Edge Fencing Club maintains a full set of class equipment for use by our students in all the beginner classes (a fencing glove is required and available for purchase for $15). Once students have made their first rank advancement, they are encouraged to begin accumulating their own gear. Students may use club equipment for the first four months after they are enrolled in the program, after that a small usage fee is collected, to defray the ongoing maintenance and replacement costs. This fee is $15 per month for the use of a full set of equipment (mask, jacket, plastron, sabre, lame, overcuff, body cord and head cord) or $10 per month for the use of bouting equipment (lame, overcuff and cords). Students are welcome to order on their own from any vendor of their choice. The club maintains a small stock of equipment for sale, and can order any additionally needed equipment from reputable vendors. We offer two kits of equipment for sale that are of a higher grade than offered in most "beginner packages" and which will give exceptional service if cared for properly.
